Inside the twisted love life of former Jetstar pilot Greg Lynn: Secret love child is exposed as mystery woman enters the frame - as he faces dying in jail over campsite bloodbath

EXCLUSIVENew details about the shadowy life of ex-Jetstar pilot Greg Lynn have been revealed at his sentencing as he faces life in jail for the brutal murder of an elderly camper.Lynn, 57, was found guilty at the Supreme Court of Victoria in June of murdering elderly camper Carol Clay, but not guilty of murdering her secret lover Russell Hill. But the pilot's twisted love life - including a secret love child in Adelaide - was laid bare in court this week as Justice Michael Croucher prepared to sentence the killer. Lynn's second wife, flight attendant Melanie Lynn, was notably absent from this week's hearing after turning up at court for every day of her husband's murder trial. The court heard that, in the wake of Lynn's guilty verdict, his wife now faces losing the home she shares with Lynn's adult sons from his first marriage.Their mother, Lisa Lynn, committed suicide in 1999, and the court had previously heard Lynn's mother-in-law blames him for triggering her daughter's tragic death. On Wednesday, fresh details about Lynn's life were aired in court by his own barrister Dermot Dann, KC ahead of prosecution calls for Lynn to be jailed for life. The court heard Lynn quickly moved on from the suicide of his first wife, who had been in a bitter custody fight with Lynn at the time of her death.  Greg Lynn enters the Supreme Court of Victoria in handcuffs on Wednesday. He faces life behind bars for the murder of Carol Clay  Greg Lynn's first wife Lisa Lynn was found dead on the front lawn of the property she once shared with the now-convicted murderer Mr Dann suggested Lynn immediately hooked up with a mystery woman as he squabbled with his estranged wife over the children and family assets. 'The relationship fell into difficulties and Mr Lynn moved out of the family home and commenced a relationship,' he told the court. The court heard Lynn successfully wrangled the children away from his estranged wife's family and gained full custody of them as well as retaining the family home. With his former wife out of the picture, Lynn was free to continue the relationship with his mystery lover, who was not named in court. 'He moved then with the woman he was in a new relationship with and the two boys to a property in Mount Macedon, then moved to Adelaide,' Mr Dann said. The court heard Lynn's new lover gave birth to a daughter on February 8, 2001, little more than a year after the death of his first wife.'That relationship ultimately broke down so he moved back to Melbourne with his sons,' Mr Dann said. Lynn moved with his kids to Qatar in the Middle East where quickly bounced back from the last broken relationship to hook up with flight attendant and second wife, Melanie. The court heard Lynn walked down the aisle with her in 2004 and the couple had  a son together in 2007. They moved back to Australia shortly afterwards, settling in Caroline Springs in Melbourne's west where she still lives today - but possibly for not much longer. The court heard police are keen to see the property confiscated as part of the proceeds of crime. Lynn had been living at the home when he murdered Ms Clay in March 2020 and at the time of his arrest more than a year later.  Melanie Lynn have birth to Greg Lynn's son in 2007 after he joined Qatar Airways Greg Lynn's beloved Nissan Patrol pictured outside the Caroline Springs property he lived in at the time of the murder. His car went from white (pictured) to grey to tan over the years  Geordie, Melanie and Elliott Lynn leave the Supreme Court of Victoria in May The court also heard new details about Lynn's relationship with his first wife Lisa. In revelations not shared with the jury, Justice Croucher had previously been told Lisa's mother blamed Lynn for her daughter's suicide. 'In addition to not gaining any support from Greg, he would subject her to physical and mental abuse on a regular basis,' Lisa's mum claimed in a statement made to the coroner at the time.'These events happened too frequently to remember...things like losing his temper for no reason and blaming Lisa for anything that went wrong.'He then would yell and throw things at her and push her around. 'I felt very uncomfortable when these events occurred because I was not inclined to interfere and Lisa would plead with me not to interfere.'Lisa's mum also told the court jealous Lynn verbally attacked a man in a bar after he spoke to Lisa.He then flew into a 'rage' at his then-wife after leaving the hotel, she told the coroner.'The only thing that I would like to add is that as far as I'm concerned, Greg is responsible for my daughter's death by mental torture inflicted by him,' Lisa's mum told the court. On Wednesday this week, Mr Dann told the court Lynn met Lisa when he was just 18 and she was aged 'around 21'. She had been a Royal Australian Air Force signals operator based at the Laverton base in Melbourne's western suburbs.  Melanie Lynn was Greg Lynn's second wife and the third woman to have his child  Lisa Lynn was just 20 when she began what became a toxic relationship with Greg Lynn  Greg Lynn outside the Caroline Springs home he shared with MelanieLynn moved in with Lisa to off-base accommodation where the couple became heavily involved with the Pentecostal Church. Their jobs saw them then move to Bankstown in New South Wales where Lisa worked as a data entry technician for Flight Services Australia. The couple moved to Tasmania and bought a home together, before Lynn bounced between Launceston and Bankstown in Sydney in the early 1990s, until the couple moved to Victoria where Lisa got a job as a Qantas flight attendant. They bought a home in Mount Macedon, 64km north-west of Melbourne, and Lisa gave birth to their first son in 1997. Their second child came the following year, but the relationship collapsed soon after and Lynn was booted out of the family home. Daily Mail Australia is unable to report the full extent of what happened next because of a legal gag order issued by a magistrate in a lower court before the trial. 'On October 26 (1999, Lisa) was found deceased on the front lawn of the Mount Macedon property and we know from the evidence ... she was found to have died after consuming a quantity of drugs and alcohol,' Mr Dann said.  Lynn was convicted of murdering Carol Clay (left) but acquitted of the murder of her lover Russell Hill  The shotgun Greg Lynn used to shoot Carol Clay in the head  The shattered remains of Carol Clay were found dumped in this hole. Just one fragment of Russell Hill was ever identified Mr Dann claimed Lynn came under fire from Lisa's family following her tragic death. 'There was protracted conflict with members of her family thereafter in terms of proceedings ... in relation to the custody of the two boys,' he said. 'Mr Lynn was successful in those proceedings so he became sole parent, and was sole parent raising the boys.'Lynn will return to court next month where he will finally be sentenced over the murder of Ms Clay. However his imprisonment could be short-lived amid his legal team's concerns the jury made a mistake in how they applied the law while coming to their verdict of guilt on Ms Clay, but not of Mr Hill. Mr Dann told Justice Croucher his client maintained his innocence and intended to appeal his conviction as soon as possible. The experienced barrister described the jury's process in finding him guilty as a 'forbidden pathway' that had gone against Justice Croucher's own directions to them toward the end of the trial.Mr Dann said the jury had been directed that Lynn's only motive for killing Ms Clay would have been to cover up the murder of Mr Hill, which they found him not guilty of committing.'The prosecution says the jury went down that forbidden pathway to reach that verdict,' he said.
