Kent Albert Stephenson: Melbourne tradie charged with more than a dozen sexual offences

Following a lengthy criminal investigation, a Melbourne tradie has been charged with 13 sexual offences.Kent Albert Stephenson, 51, was charged with 13 sexual offences including eight counts of rape, two counts of attempted rape and three counts of sexual touching, The Herald Sun reported.The offences were allegedly committed between December 2018 and November 2022 in Melbourne.The charges were laid in mid-August by the Knox Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Team.Charge sheets reveal Stephenson allegedly slapped his penis across his female victim's face, groped her bare breast and allegedly raped her on multiple occasions.In a Melbourne Magistrates' Court hearing on Friday, the prosecution and Stephenson's lawyer had sought a gag order for details of the case to be withheld from the public.Following consultation with Stephenson's alleged victim, this request was abandoned after she requested the charges against Stephenson be made public.The release of the material was granted by Magistrate Vincenzo Caltabiano.  Kent Albert Stephenson, 51, was charged with 13 sexual offences including eight counts of rape, two counts of attempted rape and three counts of sexual touching In a Melbourne Magistrates' Court hearing on Friday, the prosecution and Stephenson's lawyer had sought a gag order.
